Support

Someone who already knows the estate

Something breaks on a Tuesday. Someone should already know your tenancy, your phones, your line, and the network in the building. That is the support relationship. Where you already have an IT person, we work beside them rather than instead of them.

What we take on

  • A named way to reach us in the working day, and a clear answer about what happens outside it
  • Starters, leavers, the printer, the laptop that will not join the Wi-Fi
  • Looking after the tenancy, the phones, and the line as one estate
  • Working beside an internal IT person, on the parts they want to hand across
  • Security that is specific: sign-in, devices, backup, and the path toward Cyber Essentials if you want it

What we will not pretend

  • We will not promise 24-hour cover we do not have
  • We will not arrive only when something is already on fire, then leave
  • We will not talk you into a security product and call that a policy

In practice

Co-managed means you already have someone. We take the line, or the tenancy, or the part they should not be doing alone, and we do that part properly. We do not replace a good internal person with a queue.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed check of basic controls: firewalls, secure configuration, access, malware protection, and updates. We can put those controls in place and help with the questionnaire. Holding the certificate is a separate step. We will not print a badge here unless it is true.

Multi-factor authentication means a password is not enough on its own. It should be on for the tenancy, and for anything else that holds the company’s mail or money.

A backup that has never been restored is a hope. We test a restore. That test is part of support, not a separate speech.

If you need a person at two in the morning, say so in the first conversation. We would rather refuse than imply it.
